Before the action police procedural television series went on hiatus, fans left a major cliffhanger with the latest episode of "NCIS Season" 14. "The Tie That Binds" was an excellent episode, which to bid farewell to 2016 as it featured a notable guest cast, an entertaining story and a very touching outcome for Ducky.
Previously in "NCIS" Season 14 the NCIS team led by Gibbs (Mark Harmon) were investigating the case of a murdered Navy captain. As the team tracks evidence from the murder of the captain, it leads to a connection with Ducky's (David McCallum) deceased mother.
The late mom of Ducky (David McCallum) made her presence felt in "NCIS" Season 14 when the team found a note in the murder victim's pocket. The note, with an address on it, later revealed that the address is a place where Ducky used to live.
It was revealed in "NCIS: Season 14 Episode 10 that the navy personnel is Cpt. Mason Green (Brent Anderson) who attended a performance of the Nutcracker with his daughter and son-in-law. He ordered a rideshare car from a company and after unwisely accepting bottled water from the driver, he ends up dead in a trash-strewn vacant lot.
Although Ducky wasn't able to recognize him, Green, which seemed to have a connection with the international Treason, actually visited Ducky's house, which he sold after his mother's death six years ago. This was proven by a footage showing Green pulling up in a car with an unknown driver days prior to his death. As the investigation in "NCIS" Season 14 Episode 10 continued, Ducky found himself reflecting on a life-altering decision he made 37 years ago. This brought viewers to Ducky's backstory.
Meanwhile, "NCIS" Season 14 will go on winter hiatus. So fans are going to hang tight and just wait for the TV series to begin again. "NCIS" is returning on CBS on January 3. In the meantime, stay tuned here at GamenGuide for more updates.
