Today is the fifth and final day of the Feastivus celebration! That mean it's your last chance to earn goodies in Plants Vs. Zombies 2. PopCap Games' insanely popular mobile game has exclusive challenges and enemies for you to find right now, so get on it before it ends.
These new party levels comes with Feativus (read- Christmas)- themed levels, with zombies wearing Elf and Santa clothing. Those piano playing zombies now play Christmas tunes and the jolly zombie elves have bags of toys on their back. Hopefully you've been playing all five days because the more consecutive days you play the better the prizes you can win.
The presents you win are the same as the ones you can win during the regular party levels- lots of coin packs and power-ups like the Power Pinch, Power Toss, and Power Zap. But you can also unlock new exclusive holiday costumes for your plants which then become their default look. For instance, the Iceberg Lettuce will now sport earmuffs. Today will be the last day to unlock these costumes so get on it as soon as possible!
Expect PopCap to announce more such themed celebrations in the future, following the footsteps of other successful free-to-play games. After all, there's nothing like time-exclusive goodies to entice you to start playing up a game again. If you haven't downloaded the game yet (still?!?) don't forget that it's completely free-to-play and available for iOS and Android. There are certainly lots of things to buy (and currently sales on some of them for Feastivus) but it's completely optional.
Fans of the series, don't forget that Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare will be hitting Xbox One and Xbox 360 shortly on February 18th. This game is far different than the tower defense game mobile gamers are used to, though. It's a third-person shooter that's powered by DICE's incredible Frostbite 3 engine- yes, the same one that enables Battlefield 4 to look as good as it does. It features more than 10 maps and three different modes, and a four-player co-op mode called Garden Ops. The Xbox One version includes splitscreen co-op, which is a nice touch since it seems that no one lets you play with friends on the same couch anymore.
