The WWE just teased a trade between Raw and SmackDown this past Monday with Sami Zayn. It led to several rumors regarding deals that could happen after WrestleMania. One of the rumored trades is Roman Reigns going to SmackDown Live in exchange for A.J. Styles.
A report from Wrestling News World (h/t Flickering Myth) noted that Vince McMahon wants to bring Styles to Monday Night Raw. The WWE chairman is said to be a big fan of "The Phenomenal One" and he wants him to headline the company's flagship show.
It is also mentioned that a trade might happen around after WrestleMania 33. However, Styles leaving SmackDown is not a good thing since the show has flourished with him as champion. He really is the face that runs the place.
On the other hand, Four3Four.com reported that Vince also wants to give the United States championship a makeover. The chairman will still give Reigns a long title run but the makeover might also involve a move to SmackDown Live.
One of the possible trades being thrown around is the U.S. champion being traded for the Intercontinental champion, per The Inquisitr. However, it could look as an uneven trade since Reigns is more valuable than The Miz.
But a trade that could work is swapping A.J. Styles go to Raw in exchange for Roman Reigns. The likelihood of both superstars dropping their respective titles at WrestleMania 33 is high. Styles will reportedly face John Cena which means the latter is going to tie Ric Flair's record for most WWE world title wins.
As for Roman Reigns, he is rumored to be facing Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 33. "The Big Dog" is not expected to win the Universal championship at Roadblock: End of the Line. Reigns will surely focus on the Royal Rumble next wherein he could start his feud with Strowman.
Since these are just gathered on the internet, everyone should take this with a grain of salt. Would you like to see A.J. Styles get traded to Raw in exchange for Roman Reigns?
