Are you ready for more "Suicide Squad"? If you are then good news! After the success of the "Suicide Squad" that was released last August that gained more than half a billion dollars in the box office. Warner Bros' the Suicide Squad sequel is now in developments with Director and producer David Ayer for more of DC's antihero team.
Margot Robbie, who plays Hayley Quinn who is the other half of The Joker will be one of the main characters of the "Suicide Squad" sequel and is also reported to be executive producing the film's spin-off. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robbie will join the director David Ayer in producing the sequel and another DC adaptation about Harley Quinn and other Gotham characters.
Aside for the "Suicide Squad" sequel, Warner Bros is also planning a spin-off movie regarding Will Smith's character Floyd Lawton or known as the deadly assassin, Deadshot.However, The Deadshot solo film might take a little while to get into track since Warner Bros. is also in works for Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn movie.
Will Smith's Deadshot in the first "Suicide Squad" film was very notable and much appreciated by fans as the "quippy", emotional and sort-of leader of Amanda Waller's Task Force-X according to Comic Book. Harley Quinn was also one of the top choices and fan favorites in the first and with her return for the "Suicide Squad" sequel and the Gotham City Sirens she might be bringing along more female villains.
Currently the "Suicide Squad" sequel director David Ayer is at the end of filming the principal photography for Netflix's fantasy thriller "Bright" that stars Will Smith and Joel Edgerton. It was also reported that heads of the DC's films, Geoff Johns and Jon Berg will helm the production.
