iPhone 7 has retained its rank at the top as a new survey revealed the most wanted gift this holiday season. Just after the tech giant company opened up presales of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus on Sept.9, virtually every model was spoken for by Apple's devoted iPhone base. Analysts, however, predicted for months before that the new iPhone models would just be receiving a lukewarm welcome because of its lack of new features and design.
Last September, a number of sources claimed that the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus availability would improve by Oct.8. Both carriers and configurations showed signs of much bigger availability for the 4.7-inch iPhone 7. However, the same could not be confirmed with the more sought-after 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus.
When Halloween arrived, the availability for both devices showed more significant improvement. These include the colors, carrier configurations for the iPhone 7, and storage sizes with most in stock at Apple retail stores and online. The iPhone 7 Plus, however, remained as ambiguous as it has since it first began shipping.
At AT&T, the iPhone 7 Jet Black 128GB is available at $36.58 per month or $749 as well as its other colors, such as Rose Gold, Silver, and Gold. Prices vary depending on the storage size. Same goes with other retails stores such as Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile.
Meanwhile, according to Digitimes, the demand in China as well as other markets has substantially scaled back ever since the iPhone 7 was launched. In the same report, initial sales were reported to have been hot due to the demand of the Jet Black models as well as the end of the Samsung Galaxy Note, attracting buyers to look for alternatives.
