The Xbox One Backwards Compatibility program has again added a sleuth of games to its arsenal, making the sense of nostalgia even heavier. That being said, fans are ultimately urged to take their time in searching for these titles within their shelves as Microsoft simply shows no signs of holding back.
For those that may not be aware, Microsoft's Xbox One Backwards Compatibility program is made to permit players who own a new generation console to access games made for the previous version. For this scenario, one that today's newest gamers may have not even heard of has finally been announced.
According to recent reports, the first-person shooter avalanche known as "Shadowrun" has become part of the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility. For the sake of those uninformed, the game was launched back in 2007 for both the Xbox 360 and the Windows PC, which eventually hit the arcades two years after. More than that, "Shadowrun" is one of the two notable games that was made cross-platform adaptive for the Windows and Xbox 360, with "Final Fantasy XI" of 2006 being the other.
A couple more arcade games made it to the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility, such being "Shotest Shogi" and the 2010 release "Space Ark." The latter is a puzzle video game that has been confirmed of being available on Steam for those interested. The other previously confirmed games for the program include the past "Mass Effect 2" and "Mass Effect 3," some of which have become the exclamation point of the said program.
It was said that "Dragon Age: Origins" is considerably one of the more popular entries expected to make it to the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility program, though no confirmation has been made thus far. Nonetheless, the list continues to extend further with such classic games inching forward to wow the fans. Recently, the competition between the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 has become quite more stiff, with both companies throwing heavy cards on the table.
