Storybrooke characters won't return until next year as "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 is currently on its winter hiatus. While fans are already excited to see Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) continue their adventures with the different fairy tale characters, rumors about the series' cancellation have surfaced.
Based on the ratings by Zap2It, "Once Upon a Time" is in danger of cancellation. As presented in the report, the fairytale series' sixth season is said to be struggling with its numbers. Compared to this time last year, "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 rating has gone down by over 30 percent. But fans may still have hope since it is said that ABC, the series' home network, could still make room for another season.
With the low ratings, fans start to speculate that "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 will soon be canceled with Season 6 as its final season. Even if the show didn't do well in terms of numbers, it is still believed that "Once Upon a Time" could make a graceful exit if ABC decides to remove it from its lineup. Then again, ScreenerTV reported earlier that the series will likely survive if the audience keeps supporting the stories from Storybrooke.
Amidst cancellation rumors, fans continue to wait for the return of "Once Upon a Time" Season 6, which would be a long one considering that the series will be back in March 2017. Episode 11 is titled "Tougher Than The Rest," and according to Blasting News, it will be the start of a new chapter.
Details are scarce at the moment but the episode is said to be "Once's" most epic so far. This means fans can expect more romance, stories of magic and hope and danger for all characters when "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 returns. Emma's life is also in danger as it was revealed that someone is trying to kill her. More importantly, another big war is coming to Storybrooke.
