Just this October, gamers were treated to "Batman: Return to Arkham," which is a bundle of the remastered "Arkham Asylum" and "Arkham City" using the Unreal Engine 4. It targeted PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gamers, and included awesome new previously unreleased content. The latest news surrounding "Batman: Return to Arkham" is that Warner Bros. releases Patch 1.02, which features improved performance for PlayStation Pro.
The news comes via Gamespot, which reports that as Warner Bros. releases Patch 1.02 for PlayStation Pro, the update features improved visuals, as well as performance and stability improvements. VideoGamer reports that several performance and hitching issues in "Batman: Return to Arkham" have been resolved for a smoother and more consistent framerate. Those who have experienced crashing issues will notice that this will no longer be a common occurrence.
Interestingly, some "Batman: Return to Arkham" have noticed that instead of running better, the game actually runs worse thanks to the Patch 1.02 update from Warner Bros. While some users claim that the game now runs close to 60fps, others noticed that it runs at most at 30fps.
Meanwhile, WCCFTech reports that according to Rocksteady, they will no longer be releasing any more new "Batman: Return to Arkham" content. However, fans may still anticipate other "Batman" games from Warner Bros., so there's that to look forward to.
"Batman: Arkham Asylum" was first released in 2009 to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. During that same year, it won several awards from game critics and award-giving bodies, including Best Game during the BAFTA Video Games Awards. Rocksteady Studios also won the Studio of the Year award from the Spike Video Game Awards. The game won Outstanding Achievement in Game Design during the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences ceremonies that year.
