'Overwatch' Cheats, Tips & Tricks: Blizzard Reveals Loot Box Hacks Because Of New Chinese Law! Game Guide & Gameplay Details

Fans of "Overwatch" know how difficult it is to get some items using the loot box system. But because of a new law in China concerning online games, more details about how to win these items might be revealed by game developers soon and this may benefit players from all over the world.

Recently, online games like "Overwatch" have been making use of loot boxes in which exclusive items like skins, costumes and more are released. It's a hit-or-miss opportunity and there is no way for players to ensure that they'd get what they want. This new regulation in China, however, may change this predicament.

Translated by Gamespresso, the law which appeared on a state-run website in Chinese declared, "Online game publishers shall promptly [and] publicly announce information about the name, property, content, quantity, and draw/forge probability of all virtual items and services that can be drawn/forge[d] on the official website or a dedicated draw probability webpage of the game. The information on draw probability shall be true and effective." According to the site, in layman's terms, this means that games for sale in the Chinese market, like "Overwatch" may be coerced to divulge more details about its in-game products.

For instance, this may include information about the type of items and how much and how often these will be available. In the case of "Overwatch," Blizzard would have to reveal more about the mechanics of winning items from the loot boxes.

The law further said that it would be necessary for the Chinese government to keep record of all these things, all while securing that the player's privacy is kept safe. This could perhaps provide "Overwatch" fans with an easier way to cop the highly desired items. Right now, it is not yet known if this policy will impact players in North America. Tech Raptor pointed out that such a mandate from China can actually help Blizzard and other gaming companies to earn more profit.
