Upon his return on the basketball arena on Monday, Brooklyn Nets star Jeremy Lin did not quite help his team win the match versus the Houston Rockets. But his return boosted the points percentage of the team.
Brooklyn Nets lost to the Rockets with a 122-118 score at the Toyota Center on Monday. It may have been a disappointing loss for Brooklyn but the team proved that they really need Lin on the lineup. With him playing on the arena, the nets were plus-17 points which is a long jump from the minus-21 score with Lin on the bench.
Lin's stats for the game
The Linsanity star contributed 10 points and seven assists during the game. He also aided the team to tie the game during the fourth quarter but still was not enough as the Nets made some mistakes that cost them points.
Asked about his performance during the game, Lin explained that he could have done more for the Nets. "But for me and our whole team, we played aggressively, we played confident and we played to win. I'm OK with that," he added.
1-month hiatus
After injuring his hamstring about a month ago, Lin was sidelined for more than ten games and the Nets so a majority of losses because of not having him around. After speculations of his return in the previous games, Lin has finally returned this week and showed to his fans that he is well and has recovered from his injury.
Major contribution
Brooklyn Nets coach Kenny Atkinson is also very glad with Lin's return saying the team is organized with him on the lineup. He also highlighted the seven assists that Lin contributed in just 20 minutes of playing.
Lin also explained that he sort of struggled during his first game back. But the Nets start is hoping that he could have his rhythm back in the next games.
