'Pokemon Go' Latest News & Update: Generation 2 Pokemon Only Obtainable Through Eggs? No Full Generation 2 Pokemons Yet?

Fans and players are excited because of the new updates that is expected to add new Generation of Pokemons in "Pokemon Go." As what Niantic Labs mentioned in their update notes, the Generation 2 Pokemons will be added, which is in line with the latest discovery of SilphRoad, the dedicated team that mines data in the said game, mentioned that sound files for possible Generation 2 Pokemons are found inside the APK file. However, with all the hype and excitement going on, the moment the update released throughout the world, the expectations is not what is seemed to be.

Fewer Generation 2 Pokemons, possible future updates soon?

"Pokemon Go" released a video trailer about the new updates that adds newer Pokemons, but it somewhat features eggs instead of the wild encounter. For now, it seems that Generation 2 Pokemons can be obtainable through eggs only and this is what disappoints players around the world. What players thought that they could capture the newer Pokemon in the wild was just a mere egg and can only be obtained that way for now.

Based on one post from Forbes, Pichu, Togepi, and some select Pokemons can only be obtained and hatched from an egg, but not encountered in the wild. This is what baffled players the most. To keep the hopes down, it seems that only few Pokemon were added, which opposes the expected 100 plus newer Pokemons to be added. However, this should not be a source of disappointment because Niantic Labs, the creator of "Pokemon Go," will be creating more updates in the future, possibly adding the full set of Generation 2 Pokemons.

Make the best out of the latest update for now

Generation 2 Pokemons may be a few for today, but Niantic Labs, might include the full set together with breeding feature and genders in the future update. For now, players should benefit based on the released updates for now while waiting for future ones. For more updates about "Pokemon Go," stay tuned for more.
