"Fast & Furious 8" is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated movies of 2017. With the current hype that the upcoming movie is garnering, the trailer only added fuel to the fire. With this, new plot details have been revealed, including new conflicts, new stories, and a whole new intense action.
The trailer has revealed that the official title of "Fast & Furious 8" would be "The Fate of the Furious." In the trailer, it seems like lead characters Dominic Toretto and his cop turned friend Luke Hobbs would have a conflict. The two are played by Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson, respectively.
According to a report, the feud between the two will be dividing Toretto's family, as it will incite distrust among them. Charlize Theron will then portray Cipher, acting as the villain of "Fast & Furious 8" who wants to destroy Dominic. It has been reported that Cipher had recruited Toretto, to eventually turn his family, including Hobbs, against him.
Many reports also suggest that Toretto will be set up by Cipher, framing him to cause betrayal of Hobbs in "Fast & Furious 8." In the previous installment of the hit movie franchise, the two seemed to be getting along pretty well, but it looks like their fighting would resume in the upcoming installment. The "Fast & Furious 8" also showed Dom seemingly choosing Cipher over Letty, implanting doubts in her mind.
There have been reports saying that Brian O'Conner has concluded his story arc in "Fast and Furious 7." However, the production team was eager to develop interesting plots to further pique the interest of the viewers. "Fast & Furious 8" would also be seeing Kurt Russell, who would be released from jail after Hobbs had arrested him.
While "Fast & Furious 8" is part of the very successful movie franchise, there have been rumors stating that Vin Diesel was actually having second thoughts with the installment. This may have been due to the fact that his friend, Paul Walker, met his untimely demise with the last installment. "Fast and Furious 8: The Fate of the Furious" will hit the theaters on April 17, 2017.
