‘Kingdom Come: Deliverance' Release Date, News & Update: Medieval RPG Is Finally Closing In On The Finish Line

Warhorse Studios "Kingdom Come: Deliverance," a medieval realistic RPG is finally closing in on the finish line. Development is now reportedly focusing on fixing bugs, optimization and QA.

The "Kingdom Come: Deliverance" is an RPG stick in realism. It means this game contains no fantasy, no dragons, no monsters, no special powers and no magical entity. The enemies are usually humans and wild beast like bears or any wild animals.

The game developer, Warhorse Studios, has recently delayed the game and a video was released where it explains the reason. The "Kingdom Come: Deliverance" game is now having all the features it needs, the whole world is built and done, and all the quests and assets are in.

Studio's Daniel Varvas explains "As you can expect, when we put all this together, everything broke and now we have to fix it." Warhorse Studio is working on Xbox One and PS4 ports for "Kingdom Come: Deliverance," but Varvas believes that rather than hindering it, the process is helping the PC version.

In the PC Gamer report, Varvas said PC players are usually afraid that console ports are compromising the PC version but it wouldn't say this is the case. Console versions are forced to work harder on optimizing the game and "Kingdom Come: Deliverance" is developed on PC primarily and then to consoles. Optimizations on the consoles will help to make it run better on all the other platforms, including PC.

According to PCGamesN, "Kingdom Come: Deliverance" contains around 80 quests in the game. There were some quests cut to make sure the delivery of the game, though it's a bit more than the studio initially planned.

10,000 bugs have been reportedly fixed and 4,000 left to squash. "Kingdom Come: Deliverance" is set in the medieval Kingdom of Bohemia and focus on historically accurate and realistic content. It is set for release in 2017 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
