Samsung Galaxy X might be unveiled in 2017. Recent reports reveal that the South Korean smartphone maker will be releasing two foldable phones and the first model will be announced next year.
The first Samsung Galaxy X model is expected to be revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show this coming January 2017. The concept was first introduced during the CES 2013 so many believe that the product will also be launched at the same event. However, there are also reports that it might be announced at the Mobile World Congress in March 2017.
In order to test the responses of users, Samsung will be releasing a version which includes minor features only. It will also be a limited edition. The final Samsung Galaxy X product will have the fully-foldable design.
Users might have to wait until 2018 to get their hands on the Samsung Galaxy X, according to Android Headlines. The Edge screen design is already available in the Galaxy S line-up of the company so the foldable phone is probably on its way.
A flexible OLED display will be used in Samsung Galaxy X. The material can be bent without breaking. The highly anticipated device can function both as a tablet and cellphone.
Samsung Galaxy X will sport and AMOLED screen. The device will most likely be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 which will also be used in Samsung Galaxy S8, as earlier reported by GamenGuide.
