After the successful premiere of Netflix's original series "The Crown," fans are looking forward to seeing the Royal family back in the small screens. In addition, "The Crown" season 2 is expected to tackle an interesting era, which could bring some well-loved musicians to the story.
Fans learned to love the Royal family, consisting of Queen Elizabeth, played by Claire Foy, as well as Princess Margaret, played by Vanessa Kirby, as the Netflix series shared details about their lives. However, "The Crown" season 2 is said to discuss more challenging times for them.
After Princess Margaret was forced to leave her love Peter Townsend, played by Ben Miles, the story will now take another turn for the character. It was teased that Princess Margaret will have a new love life that could open up a new kind of crowd. With that, Kirby teased during an interview with Vanity Fair that Princess Margaret's relationship with Anthony Armstrong-Jones will introduce her to some Hollywood contacts, who could be brought to life in "The Crown" season 2.
In addition, there are speculations that "The Crown" season 2 will bring forth the well-respected band "The Beatles" as the group was popular during the era that the season will explore. Also, it was said that some members of the Royal family were avid fans of the band as well. However, there has yet to be any news on if "The Beatles" will actually take part in "The Crown" season 2.
Nevertheless there have already been theories on who could be an ideal choice for playing members of the classic band. There were some suggestions that Joseph Gordon-Levitt could play the role of John Lennon. Meanwhile, others think that Daniel Radcliffe is another suitable choice for the role.
Since there has yet to be any official news on the matter, fans will have to wait and see what lies ahead for "The Crown" season 2. The series is said to air on Netflix sometime late next year.
