"Suits" Season 6 will never be the same without Gina Rodriguez, who plays the powerful yet elegant Jessica Pearson. With her departure, there have now been rumors stating that the hit TV series will be experiencing a lot of cast reshuffles.
"Suits" Season 6 Episode 10 featured Jessica Pearson unexpectedly stepping down from her own law firm, the Pearson Specter Litt. The story went on to say that she exited the company and left her career to join her partner, Jeff Malone, played by D.B. Woodside, in Chicago. However, Gina Rodriguez revealed that her "Suits" Season 6 departure would not be permanent.
With Harvey Specter and Louis Litt, played by Gabriel Macht and Rick Hoffman, respectively, known for engaging each other in numerous fights, they are bound to call for Jessica's help down the road. With this, Jessica might later appear in "Suits" Season 6.
Series creator Aaron Korsch then backed the statement released by Torres. He later assured all the fans of the show that no other major character would be departing "Suits" Season 6. Sarah Rafferty, who plays the flary secretary Donna Paulse, had posted photos of the set of "Suits" Season 6, with Macht, Hoffman, and Patrick J. Adams, who plays Mike Ross.
With Jessica's departure in "Suits" Season 6, Harvey and Louis need to make the tough decision of leasing the firm area to produce enough revenue. However, Louis could then be more focused on her romantic relationship with his fiancée Tara, played by Carly Pope.
With the long history of disagreements between Harvey and Louis, Jessica is always there to pacify them. However, with her gone, Mike needs to step up in order for their problems to be resolved. With a name partner gone, "Suits" Season 6 will see the firm looking for a new, strong one, and Robert Zane, played by Wendell Pierce, is the strongest candidate.
"Suits" Season 6 also saw Mike refusing Harvey's offer to become the firm's consultant. However, Jessica's absence might eventually change his mind, helping his then mentor Harvey to rebuild their previously esteemed law firm. "Suits" Season 6 will return on January 25 next year.
