With "Stranger Things" Season 2 in the middle of production, fans are desperate to find more insight into the show's upcoming season. The first season of the critically acclaimed Netflix show, which stars late '80s cool kid Winona Ryder along with other younger actors and actresses, is expected to have its follow-up in the coming year.
Rumor has it, however, that Ryder is in negotiations with Netflix to sit out in the filming of "Stranger Things" Season 2 and come back instead in the third season. Ryder is said to be experiencing some anxiety over the show's success and had to deal with some personal issues first.
The rumored exit of Winona Ryder from "Stranger Things" Season 2 came a few weeks after she was not seen in a picture during the first table read for the new season. According to Variety, teen stars including Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Natalia Dyer have been confirmed to be returning for "Stranger Things" season 2 but Ryder's absence raised some eyebrows.
In other "Stranger Things" Season 2 news, Dacre Montgomery and Sadie Sink have been announced to be joining the show as Billy and Max, Entertainment Weekly reported. The two characters will be siblings but not much has been publicized as to how they will interact with Eleven and the gang.
You can watch the first season of "Stranger Things" on Netlix as "Stranger Things" Season 2 is still in production. Should there be any more spoilers and updates on "Stranger Things" Season 2 and Winona Ryder, GameNGuide will be posting more about it in the next few months.
