Even if the first installment of the "Justice League" has not hit the big screens yet, its sequel, "Justice League 2," has been rumored to be pushed back. The reason for this is said to because of the release of "The Batman" standalone movie.
The initial plan was after putting the first part of "Justice League" under wraps, Snyder would directly take on the movie's second installment. However, it is said that "Justice League 2" will be delayed to make way for the Ben Affleck's standalone movie "The Batman."
Pushing back the "Justice League" sequel will be in favor of the Bat's fans. The upcoming Ben Affleck movie (The Batman) is already generating quite a raucous out there. As the DC Extended Universe moves on, putting "The Batman" over "Justice League 2" will keep "The Batman" upfront and center. This will allow fans and audience a chance to see the Bat's world after the events in "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Justice League."
"Justice League 2" is scheduled to release on June 14, 2019, but there is a possibility that this could be changed. Zach Snyder still intends to direct the second part of "Justice League." As of the moment, he is putting his efforts on one of his longtime projects, IGN reported.
Moreover, Ben Affleck's "The Batman" might replace "Justice League 2's" release date, although there is still no official word about it. Given that Ben Affleck said that the script still needs additional work and known to take the necessary time to produce a quality project, "The Batman" may premiere on the big screens on a later date.
