Video gamers can't wait to get their hands on "Street Fighter 5" season 2 DLC for new characters as it was recently announced that the "Street Fighter 5" 2017 Character Pass will be launched on December 20. Rumors are now making rounds with regards to the possible next batch of DLC characters.
After the Red Bull Tournament, Capcom announced that Akuma, the Raging Demon, will return and will join the cast of "Street Fighter V" starting December 20, 2016. Akuma is promised to be playable in the upcoming PlayStation Experience 2016 in Anaheim. They also announced a season 2 DLC for new characters.
Although it was officially announced that there are other five season 2 characters coming to "Street Fighter 5," Capcom hasn't made any disclosure yet as to who these characters are. This left fans speculating.
Rumors are now rife that the other fighters of "Street Fighter 5" will be revealed next year. These characters are said to be the following: C. Viper, Sagat, Sodom, Q, Rose, Abel and Oro. A possible new character named Eisbahn is also being teased in the game.
"Akuma is only the start of season 2," Takayuki Nakayama, Street Fighter 5's director, said through a translator. "The other 5 characters will be brand new to the Street Fighter universe," he added.
Meanwhile, Capcom also announced several in-game balances for "Street Fighter 5" for next year. It was noticed that there are a few particularly strong mechanics in "Street Fighter V" that resulted in players using them more than the unique attacks each character has at their disposal. This led players, both the attacker and the one being attacked, regardless of which characters were being used, to have a similar experience. By reducing each character's similarities, players is said to be able to fully express themselves through their favorite characters.
While no other details were shared for the 2017 "Street Fighter 5's" season pass yet, know that it's already up for sale on the PlayStation Store for $29.99. Each 2017 character comes with a Premium Battle costume with colors three to ten unlocked, and the remaining fighters will be released throughout the year.
