It's been a while since Square Enix launched its "Final Fantasy XV" installment, but already the studio has some tricks and surprises slated for its most avid fans. As part of its commitment to keep players interested in the game, president Hajime Tabata announced that they planned to expand the game even further. Part of these plans is the upcoming DLC list, which contains six expansion packs for the game.
But what fans really want to see are the three expansion packs focusing on Noctis' three allies in "Final Fantasy XV": Episode Gladiolus, Episode Ignis and Episode Prompto, as well as "Final Fantasy XV" Episode: Comrades, which will introduce online co-op When can they expect these DLCs? Here's everything you need to know about the "Final Fantasy XV" DLC expansions and release date.
'Final Fantasy XV' DLC expansion packs
As previously reported, Square Enix will be releasing six expansion packs, four of which will focus on Noctis' loyal companions: Ignis, Prompto and Gladiolus, as well as "Final Fantasy XV" Online Expansion Pack: Companion. The first three episode will make all three of them playable in original episodes during the events of the "Final Fantasy XV" campaign, according to Playstation Lifestyle.
More importantly, these episodes will allow players to control Noctis' allies according to each of their play styles. The episodes will venture into previously unexplored parts of the game, while players can obtain weapons that can transfer into the original "Final Fantasy XV" game.
'Final Fantasy XV' Co-op mode
However, the "Final Fantasy XV" Online Expansion Pack: Companion, or Comrades, will allow up to four players to fight alongside Noctis. This will be in online coop mode, a pretty radical move for a largely single-player MMPORG. Stay tuned for "Final Fantasy XV" DLC news and updates.
