AJ Styles continues to thrive in the WWE, barely a year since his arrival. He is currently the WWE SmackDown heavyweight champion, perhaps one of the wrestlers to make the quick shift up the ranks.
There is no doubt that AJ Styles is a proven star. He has done it with other factions such as TNA and WCW and Vince McMahon has all the reason to sport a wide smile. Barely a year in the WWE, the “Phenomenal One” has proven he can play both face and heel, effectively selling his character and being a hit with each appearance.
Right now, he is tied up with a feud with Dean Ambrose and James Elsworth. He has yet to win against Elsworth though all that happened with some help from the “Lunatic Fringe”. With the sudden turn of events recently, AJ Styles may finally get an obvious win over the “Chin-less” one.
At some point, it may eventually become a Dean Ambrose vs. James Elsworth feud, meaning AJ Styles will be left out of the cold. Will this spark that much awaited Styles vs. Undertaker match?
Assuming the “Dead Man” is ready to return to active duty, a storyline involving the two icons would be classic, Forbes reported. Both excelled on different groups so a collision could be epic. If so, this could be the stage for Wrestlemania 33. The Undertaker and AJ Styles don’t have partners as of this writing for the big WWE event in 2017 so that could be a possibility.
Even bigger is word that Styles could be moving to WWE Raw after Wrestlemania 33 in Orlando, Wrestling News World reported. Though filled with stars like Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, and Roman Reigns, the move is a bit off. But then again, the WWE creative team could have something innovative in their minds – with the support of WWE CEO Vince McMahon of course.
