December 13 will give you more reasons to play "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" without having to spend a dime. Next week, the remaining six multiplayer maps: Bloc, Countdown, Pipeline, Showtown, Strike and Wet Work will be added free of charge. The update will also include Gun Game and Hardpoint modes, which were both introduced in the "Call of Duty: Black Ops" series.
"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" Winter Crash
The December trailer for "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" showcases the remastered Winter Crash map, which is also arriving on December 13, reports GameSpot. At the same time, it will be getting a 24/7 playlist beginning December 20 and running through the holidays.
The map is basically a clone of the Crash map, one of the original ten maps in the game. Winter Crash will be sporting a Christmassy vibe though, so expect to see Christmas lights throughout the map. Helicopters too, will be a bit of colorific.
"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" To Get New Brand-Spanking New Weapons?
While the update is definitely good news to "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" fans, the rumor suggesting that the game is getting new weapons is still hovering in midair. According to a Reddit thread, Activision is looking to add some of the guns from the two "Modern Warfare" games, and a melee shovel to boot. The publisher neither confirmed nor denied the rumors, but if we are take the thread seriously, the possibilities are quite high.
In the meantime, fans should be getting the two new updates for sure; the first one's to drop on Tuesday, December 13, and the other on December 20. "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" as of the moment still isn't a standalone game, so playing it will require one to buy the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" Legacy Edition, which has both "Modern Warfare Remastered" and "Infinite Warfare."
