Don't get me wrong, the PlayStation 4 has a great and varied selection of launch titles, but some gamers might be looking for something...more. While hundreds of thousands are primed to grab Sony's next-gen console when it releases tomorrow / midnight tonight, good things come to those who wait. Any gamer with their eye on the new inFamous: Second Son would do well to remember that a console bundle with the game is on the way.
Sucker Punch co-founder Brian Fleming confirmed via Twitter that gamers will know soon enough when they can snag the bundle, writing, "We will announce the date this week officially." If the bundle offers anything else besides the game and the console, Sucker Punch isn't saying, but expect full details once the developer provides an official release date. Hopefully it's something better than those atrocious pre-order vests.
Not the most informative of articles, I know, but how about some tantalizing new gameplay te feast your eyes on? Interstingly enough, the new video also presents us with an interesting dilemma. Thanks to YouTube's compression, the video is far from representative from what the game actually looks like. Chalk another thing for Google to fix after the streaming site wnet through a massive re-development.
Check out the video below.
inFamous: Second Son reveals that it's a rough time to be a conduit in the U.S. After the problems former protagonists Cole McGrath and others caused in New Marais and Empire City, any and all conduits are now deemed bioterrorists, and many have been rounded up by the DUP, the Department of Unified Protection.
The entire city of Seattle is covered with roadblocks and cameras, meant to keep an eye out on the so-called "dangerous" conduits.
According to Sucker Punch, the heightened security is meant to reflect the post 9/11 state of the country, saying that the DUP serves as a parallel to the TSA. There are some troopers that actually do have it together though, and can pose a major threat to Delsin. They act like a number of SWAT / military police organizations, and others exhibit a seemingly supernatural ability when it comes to defense and uber quick movements, hinting that they might be more than just human.
Ready to send all this big brother omnipresence packing is Delsin, a new conduit with an anti-authority streak, boasting smoke themed powers, and can also absorb the powers of other conduits, opening up a whole range of options and experiences for players.
A PlayStation 4 exclusive, inFamous: Second Son is out this February.
