Apple fanatics may need to shell out more cash for the upcoming iPhone 8. This according to two reliable sources when it comes to Apple leaks and pricing. While there are already lots of reports about the upcoming iPhone 8 specifications and release date, the pricing was not entirely clear - until now.
iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus pricing will be similar to current iPhone 7
The two sources - Mac Otakara, who predicted Apple to get rid of the headphone jack and Ming-Chi Kuo, an esteemed Apple analyst - have confirmed that the upcoming model of the iPhone 8 coming out in 2017 will definitely be higher in price. Otakara published that the 2017 model of iPhones will look exactly like the current iPhone 7, but with a faster processor, better camera and a red color option.

Kuo, on the other hand, says the next models coming in 2017 will be base models and will be called iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. However, there will be a premium model, which will be the iPhone 8. Kuo predicts the base models to cost around the same as the current iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. However, these models will have better specs, including OLED display and wireless charging.
iPhone 8 will cost more due to hardware upgrades
While the iPhone 8, on the other hand, will have a bigger price difference. Today, the current iPhone 7 models cost from $649 - $969, depending on HD size. With the upgrades provided for the iPhone 8 flagship, Forbes estimates the unit to cost $150 to $200 more. Based on this estimate, Apple fans can expect an iPhone 8 with the lowest spec priced at a whopping $749 per unit.
