"Narcos" Season 3 will have an all new direction for the story. As the main man Pablo Escobar has already been killed in the popular Netflix TV series, "Narcos" Season 3 will now focus on a new Colombian gang.
End of an Era
With the death of Pablo Escobar, "Narcos" Season 3 will definitely be running a whole new plot that would feature a host of new faces. Pablo Escobar, the rich and influential kingpin played by Wagner Moura, was killed by the authorities. However, his son denied that his father was actually shot, but insisted that Escobar committed suicide to protect his family from the authorities.
Post-Escobar Drug Trade
Many reports say that "Narcos" Season 3 will now be focusing on a new Colombian gang, moving on from Escobar's plotline. While Pablo Escobar's death ended an era of drug trade, it also started a new one, which could arguably be worse.
The loss of the Escobar meant that there would be those who now covets the influence and power he left. With the death of Escobar, Mexico has unwittingly stolen the title of being the biggest narcotic operator from Medellin. "Narcos" Season 3 would be seeing the Sinaloa cartel and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CING) rivalry in delivering the bulk of the business.
Attempting to replace Escobar are three men from the aforementioned cartels. Sinaloa will have Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada Garcia and Rafael Caro Quintero. The CING, on the other hand, would have Nemesio "El Mencho" Oseguera Cervantes. They are largely favored to appear in "Narcos" Season 3. Escobar-like Sinaloa leader Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman Loera may also appear.
New Characters, New Drama
As per most shows, a new season means new faces. For "Narcos" Season 3, there would be Andrea Londo and Nicholas Gonzales. Michael Stahl-David and Kerry Bishe are also reported to take on new roles. Their respective new characters would surely add drama and spice up "Narcos" Season 3 when the show returns in 2017.
