Death Stranding latest trailer launched at The Game Awards 2016 last Dec. 1 and not only did it push gamers to want to get a PS4 or PS4 Pro but it also gained much hype due its emotive and gripping theme that left everyone in awe, and pretty confused as well. But before you try to defend yourself saying how you have deciphered Death Stranding's story, don't fret, even Mads Mikkelsen, actor himself involved in the game admitted that he too was confused.
Mads Mikkelsen, known for renown roles as Hannibal (TV show) and movies such as Doctor Strange and upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is seen in the second Death Stranding trailer where his character seemed to control undead soldiers through bizarre umbilical cords.
Calling Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima as "Master", as Mads Mikkelsen praised the Game Awards Game Icon winner in an interview with IGN saying.
"He's the Kasparov of video games. He's such a visionary person. Working on a video game was just something I'd never crossed before, so it was a wonderful opportunity to dive into that world," as stated by Mads Mikkelsen.
The Cannes' Best Actor Winner for 2012 described Kojima's Death Stranding's plot as "very intricate" even to the point of admitting the upcoming title is somehow confusing.
Mad Mikkelsen also said that he isn't a hardcore gamer so he didn't know much about Kojima before until working with him on "Death Stranding."
"But I also saw the trailer he had done with Norman Reedus, and I thought that was spectacular just from the standpoint of an actor. The emotion, the feeling of it, and the sensuality in what he does. Without even being a gamer, I was like, this is crazy, what he's doing. I love it," as stated by Mad Mikkelsen.
