OnePlus has already established itself as a smartphone company that delivers top-shelf design and performance. Consumers seem to view their devices as a great bang for your buck option to experience high-end specs with an eye-catching design. Now they have delivered yet another powerful handset with their OnePlus 3T model. This is an overview of what the flagship device has to offer its users.
OnePlus 3T design
GSMArena indicates that device appears to be crafted with a stylish space-grade aluminum body. It comes in two shades, namely Gunmetal or Soft Gold. The rear panel houses a camera and its LED flash towards the top center of the phone. It also features clean antenna lines on the top and bottom with the OnePlus logo engraved neatly just below the camera flash. The enclosure also curves toward each side with angled edges, while its slim 7.35mm profile results in small bump from its primary camera.
The front panel's notable features are an ambient light sensor sandwiched between the selfie-camera and its earpiece on the top half. The bottom portion holds the fingerprint-sensor and optional capacitive buttons on each side.
On the left edge of the unit sits a volume rocker with a unique alert control switch. The switch allows users to set the phone to do not disturb, silent, or ring. The right edge houses the dual-SIM tray, while the power key sits just below it. The top edge is completely empty, while its bottom holds a USB Type-C charging port, a 3.5mm headset jack and a single speaker grille.
OnePlus 3T hardware
The phone's Optic AMOLED screen comes protected with "Gorilla Glass 4." It measures 5.5 inches and boasts a 1920 x 1080 resolution. A Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 821 chipset with a 6GB RAM beats at its core. Users can choose from a 64GB storage option or a much beefier 128GB internal memory. Unfortunately, memory card expansion is still not an option.
The primary camera department is handled by a 16MP shooter with OIS, while the selfie-shooter also affords another 16MP sensor.
OnePlus 3T battery
The 3T harnesses its power from a non-removable 3,400mAh lithium-ion battery. Its Dash Charge technology can also push the battery up to 60 percent within 30 minutes. GSMArena tested the phone and results point to an estimated 13 hours for video playback, close to nine hours of web surfing and 30 hour of talk time.
