"Frozen" has very little news about its sequel. Reportedly, Alan Tudyk the voice actor of Duke of Weselton in the first installment of "Frozen" is back for the second one. This probably hints the beginning of shooting.
Once Disney works with an artist it prefers them again. Alan Tudyk is back for "Frozen 2," "Wreck-It Ralph 2" and Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy." He also appeared in Disney's "Wreck-It Ralph" and "Moana."
"Alan Tudyk has returned for sequels of Wreck-It Ralph and Frozen but there is no news on the roles he will be playing. As 2016 is closing, this hints that Disney might commence shooting from early 2017," as reported by Per Slash Film.
"I will return. I don't know in what character form, though. I say that confidently just because I've been in the ones before and they are committed to continuing that tradition, which considering how many movies they put out... I'm going to run out of voices at some point! But I haven't run out yet, so let's do it," as stated by Alan Tudyk, reported by Fandango.
Although Elsa has cut off trade between their kingdoms by the end of the movie, he's still alive, so it's conceivable the same character could return in some other interesting role. The Duke of Weselton, who appears to be dead in the movie?
Elsa the queen will predictably be involved in trade business or conflicts with the duke.
Meanwhile, Disney confirmed that Kristen Bell will be returning in "Frozen 2" as Anna and Idina Menzel will still be playing the role of Elsa, and Josh Gad to make a comeback as Olaf. Considering that Duke of Weselton is alive, and then surely the movie will take an interesting turn. The most anticipated movie "Frozen 2" release date is still under process.
