Fans will be delighted to know that there is a big chance that Rumple (Robert Carlyle) and Belle (Emilie de Ravin) will be back together again when “Once Upon a Time” Season 6 returns from its somewhat long hiatus. Also, the reasons why Gideon (Giles Matthey) wants to kill Emma (Jennifer Morrison) will be revealed soon.
Before “Once Upon a Time” Season 6 took a break, Rumple and Belle’s newborn son, Gideon, was taken by the Black Fairy (Jaime Murray) to a dark realm where time does not exist. Rumple and Belle will reunite in order to get back their son from the Black Fairy.
In the same “Once Upon a Time” Season 6 episode, it was revealed that Gideon will be the man in hood that will kill Emma as foreseen in a prophecy. So aside from saving their new born son, Rumple and Belle will also need to stop the prophecy from coming true and lose the Savior, Emma.
Rumple and Belle has not been on the same side for a long time now, and getting back Gideon in “Once Upon a Time” Season 6 might be the key for them to find love from each other again. EPs Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis shared in an interview that although Rumple and Belle’s relationship has been quite rocky, they could also be brought back together in an unexpected way.
Deep down inside Rumple is a deep abiding love for Belle despite his love for power and addiction to magic. According to Horowitz, the glimmer of hope has not died out and could be the root of their relationship. The events in “Once Upon a Time” Season 6 will hopefully reignite that deep love from the both of them.
Meanwhile, the promo for the next episode of “Once Upon a Time” Season 6 shows a grown up Gideon set on killing Emma. He was able to return from the dark realm and is looking to kill Emma for quite sometime already. Viewers have been wondering why Gideon would want to kill the Savior.
Horowitz however explained that there is a lot more to reveal than what was seen in the “Once Upon a Time” Season 6 winter finale. In fact, the story has just begun, he teases. Find out more when the series returns on March 17 on ABC.
