Apple fans are confused as they are not sure if the company will release an iPhone 8 or an iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. There is a possibility that the latter two will just be incremental upgrades with improved specs and nothing else. If that's the case, then Apple may go with a mega release of the iPhone 8 on the flagship's 10th anniversary.
Apple has done such a thing even this year where it released the iPhone SE and the iPhone 7. It can repeat the sequence with an iPhone 7s and a top-notch iPhone 8 in 2017. Certain reports have predicted that the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus won't bring any major overhaul apart from an A11 processor.
Wireless charging capabilities, straight from Apple, may be reserved for the iPhone 8. Mophie's Juice Pack Air serves the same purpose but fans except the same thing from Apple in 2017, reports Tech Times. Wireless charging support could be a prime feature in the Apple iPhone 8. Rumors further suggest that a red iPhone is also in the works.
According to CNET, Macotakara has revealed that Apple would bring a major change in color options with a red iPhone. This could be because of Apple's affinity towards the color due to its involvement with the (RED) charity, which raises money to combat AIDS. The report has also pointed out that Apple may not after all call its 2017 iPhone, iPhone 8. Instead it will be called iPhone 7s.
Apple could be releasing three iPhones in 2017 and one could be the red iPhone that everybody is talking about. The iPhone 8 is expected to come with a curved OLED Display. It is difficult to know what Apple will finally do but fans most-definitely want a ground-breaking iPhone 8 in 2017.
