"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 4 Episode 8 aired after a two-week break. Although the episode was a winter finale, which means that the show will take another hiatus until next year, the story shaped a lot of things for the remainder of the season.
'Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Closes the Ghost Rider Storyline
In "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider and his Uncle Eli Morrow had a huge confrontation. Morrow's character transformed from being an easy-to-despise villain into a victim of prejudice and discrimination. Morrow trapped Robbie in a nuclear bomb then transformed into a powerful entity. On the other hand, Robbie turned into the Ghost Rider.
Eventually in the episode, titled "The Law of Inferno Dynamics," Robbie successfully took down and burned his uncle, but the two also disappeared mysteriously. This means that the "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." episode put an end to the Ghost Rider story in the meantime.
In the end, Coulson hinted that a previous Ghost Rider also disappeared and returned. This could mean that the highly rumored Ghost Rider series will be coming soon. Even Eli Morrow may make a reappearance.
AIDA is the New Threat
As for the remainder of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 4, the plot may focus on AIDA, who is now a special android after absorbing the Darkhold, writes GameSpot. AIDA also revealed that she has a number of terrible plans. While everyone was focused on Eli Morrow, AIDA was shot and showed that Doctor Radcliffe actually programmed her to feel pain.
Although she saved the team by containing the bomb, she captured May and is getting ready for the next part of her grand scheme. It was surprising how AIDA shifted from a supernatural being to a mechanical one, but the team will nevertheless have a lot to settle when the story continues. During the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." episode, Mack and YoYo also finally kissed. Daisy is also showing more of the leadership role that Coulson wanted her to play.
She may evolve more when "Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns in January 2017 on ABC. More updates and details on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." are expected soon.
