Given that, how can players maximize this latest update? How can they improve their "Pokemon Go" gameplay experience? Here's the lowdown of everything you need to know about the "Pokemon Go" v0.49.1 patch update: tips and tricks, hacks, strategies and more.
Genderized Pokemon
One of the most major features of the new "Pokemon Go" update is the introduction of gender. It isn't a very value-adding update in terms of battling and strategizing, but this could mean that breeding Pokemon is going to be possible in the distant future. Niantic executive John Hanke has already revealed that breeding was indeed on the "Pokemon Go" pipeline, though he gave no specific schedule on when these will begin to appear.
Shiny Pokemon
Shiny Pokemon are also one of the most anticipated changes in "Pokemon Go." Save for appearance, Shiny Pokemon bear identical resemblances to their normal counterpart, and is coveted mainly for their collectors' value. It's possible, however, that they could have some sort of stat differences with their Normal Pokemon counterpart, so Trainers ought to look out for these.
New buddy position
TheSilphRoad reported that after their data mining, they uncovered a new buddy position: baby! This means that buddy Pokemon, which previously can be displayed at your feet, on air, or on your shoulder, can now be cradled like a baby. It's also possible that it could refer to the introduction of baby Pokemon in the game, but the data miners disclosed that this was the only code change they've noticed since.
