'Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles' Release Date, News & Update: Stress With War Games? Wander Like A Child!

A unique open-world adventure in "Yonder: The Cloud Catcher" is set to release in the second quarter of 2017 for PS4. The charming game caught the attention of PlayStation Experience 2016 attendees when the game was introduced.

The recent concluded PlayStation Experience 2016 that was held at the Anaheim Convention Center in California featured games and conducted a tournament. One of the games that received good reviews and drew attention was "Yonder: The Cloud Catcher."

"Yonder: The Cloud Catcher" is a game about a boy, of which by fate, his ship was carried away to a place called Gemea. The player of the game will need to explore the eight distinct environments with changing seasons. The players will embark on a journey that will lead the hero to self-discovery and become the island's champion.

According to GameReactor, the Gemea town in "Yonder: The Cloud Catcher" is being overtaken by an evil Murk. The evil Murk is different from other antagonists as it is only a swirly purple mist that invades the island. With the help of the natives and sprites forces, the hero will be able to defeat the evil that threatens the lives of the residents.

The residents living in the town of Gemea in "Yonder: The Cloud Catcher" are kind-hearted despite the existence of the evil murk. The hero will build a good relationship with the residents by helping them do farming, crafting, cooking, fishing and brewing and in reward the hero will receive the resources he needs.

"Yonder: The Cloud Catcher" has a similar appeal to other games like "Harvest Moon" and "Stardew Valley" but, it is unique from those games because of its childlike attitude,  GamesRadar reported. It described the game as gentle since everything in the game is soft but still invites the players to escape from the reality full of troubles and negativities.

Meanwhile, the Australian based game studio Prideful Sloth said that the "Yonder: The Cloud Catcher" is a game that can be played while lying in a bed. According to the game studio, the main target of the game is to recreate the sense of being comfortable while playing the game.
