"Assassin's Creed 3" News & Update: Video Game Free To Download In Celebration of Ubisoft's Anniversary

It is Ubisoft 30th Anniversary and the gaming icon is not going to let the milestone pass without something special for the fans. In lieu of the achievement, Ubisoft is giving away a free title that will surely give players their "Assassin's Creed" fix for this year. The game in question is "Assassin's Creed 3" and here's how to get it free of charge.

Fans may have preferred other "Assassin's Creed" titles over "Assassin's Creed 3" but a free game is still a free game nonetheless. "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag" would've been a better choice according to fans but sadly, this is what Ubisoft will give out this year. It's worth noting that despite its rather generic storyline, the game is still a pretty decent title to have.

Only PC players can gain access to the free game. To grab the free copy of "Assasin's Creed 3", players will need to head on over to the official Ubisoft Club page and the only requirement is a Uplay account. From then on, getting the free game is only a few clicks away if there's already enough space on the PC.

This is not the first time that Ubisoft has given away a free title this year as it began handing out free titles way back in June. The free games from Ubisoft starting from June are as follows: "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" (June), "Splinter Cell" (July), "Rayman Origins" (August), "The Crew" (September), "Beyond Good & Evil" (October), and "Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon" (November). And for this month, it's time for players to relive Connor's journey in "Assassin's Creed 3".

There is no current word on when the "Assassin's Creed 3" giveaway will end. However, Ubisoft's "30 Days of Giveaways" promo ends on Dec. 23. It is safer to download the free game before Dec. 23 as the offer might end on the same date.
