To catch the Memorial Day weekend revelers, Paramount, the producer of “Baywatch” 2017, moved the movie’s premiere by one week to May 26, 2017 from May 19. On Thursday, Dec. 8, the movie’s full trailer would come out.
Ahead of the official full trailer, the stars of “Baywatch” 2017 also released teasers of the ocean action film, a movie version inspired by the TV action drama series which aired from 1989 to 1999. In Dwayne Johnson’s teaser, posted on Twitter, he is seen carrying a lifeless body out of the water, while Zac Efron’s teaser shows Matt Brody, his character, jumping off the motorcycle into the ocean to save a victim.
Matt Caught Staring
Another scene from Zac Efron’s teaser of “Baywatch” 2017 is when Matt is caught staring at the breast of Summer Queen (Alexandra Daddario). Besides, Daddario, other cast of the movie include Priyanka Chopra and Kelly Rohrbach.
Although Paramount ended production of “Baywatch” 2017, it only released an official cast photo in May. However, it has not revealed the official plot synopsis, but rumors say that Dwayne Johnson’s character, Mitch Buchannon, is a lifeguard who goes by the book, while Matt Brody is his opposite by flouting the rules and being a hotheaded lifeguard.
Memorial Day Competition
With the one-week delay in the release date of “Baywatch” 2017, the movie would go against “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” of Walt Disney and “Life,” a sci-fi thriller from Sony. Time notes that by moving its opening date one week later, “Baywatch” 2017 would earn money faster since films that premiere on the Memorial Day weekend often earn 44 to 49 percent of its domestic box-office during the three-day holiday. The hot stars of the original “Baywatch,” David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson would have cameo appearances in “Baywatch” 2017.
