‘Nintendo Switch’ News & Update: GameCube Titles Coming To Nintendo's Next Console?

Just a few days before Nintendo officially unveils its "Nintendo Switch", details about the said console starts to spill. There are even rumors making rounds that "GameCube Virtual Console"s support will be added to the forthcoming console.

It is said that the company has already fixed three games for "Nintendo Switch". Those games are namely "Super Mario Sunshine", "Luigi's Mansion" and "Super Smash Bros. Melee". "Animal Crossing" is slated to be tested as well, Eurogamer reports.

The site's source also claims that "Nintendo Switch" will have a virtual console for downloading games. "Wii", "Wii U" and "3DS" already offered this before.

The said source also claims that "Wii", "Wii U" and "3DS" will be "no different" that "Nintendo Switch". It seems like the Nintendo is thinking about the possibility to make the upcoming console compatible with the controller adapter of "Wii U"s GameCube.

Nintendo is yet to comment on this rumor on "Nintendo Switch". Maybe fans will have to wait until January for some confirmation on this.

The price and specs of "Nintendo Switch" will be announced as well in the said month. Nintendo's new console is slated to launch early next year.

In other news, Shuhei Yoshida, the president of PlayStation Worldwide Studios, recently opened up on his reaction to "Nintendo Switch". In an interview with DigitalSpy, Yoshida said he thinks the console is remarkable.

He explained, "It's very interesting that they've designed the system to work well with some conventional games in terms of inputs and buttons." He also applauded how Nintendo focused on its marketing message with its new console, "Nintendo Switch". When asked if the PlayStation president still sees competition between them, he Yoshida said Nintendo is "going to cover" a different market. Aside from Yoshida, no other executive from competing companies yet has shared thoughts about Nintendo's "Nintendo Switch".
