This is another ambitious leap of Alexa in gadget architecture after its successful outing with Amazon Echo and Echo Dot.
With Amazon Alexa , the LED-filled circular tube with a tiny gray base table lamp can take your commands through a microphone and speaker hidden within its base. The newest smart LED lamp, the latest addition of the product in the C by GE series, comes with almost everything that Amazon Echo offers. Apart from lighting benefits, the sleek lamp can listen, speak, answer and take your commands.
According to GE, it is a lamp that response, speaks and makes life easier. Alexa lamp is a stand-alone device that does not need another unit, smartphones, switch or hubs to operate. It probably won't offer the same audio quality that Echo has, but it's a good options for individuals who wanted to capitalize the benefits of tech breakthrough. This is the first lighting device to embed Amazon Alexa voice technology.
Like the Echo, users can tell this Alexa-embedded lamp to play music, read audio books, set timer and alarm, search for movies or TV shows, updates news and weather, make online shopping list, and can be the all-in-one control system of your various home appliances. The Amazon Alexa powered lamp can also be your handy virtual assistant that can arrange or remind your schedules and meetings, search the best traffic routes, and scan for cooking recipes, among all other thousands features that Amazon Echo and Echo Dot have.
