‘The Elder Scrolls 6’ Release Date, News & Update: Bethesda Hoping For Hideo Kojima’s Inputs? Development Delayed To Avoid ‘Fallout 4’ Criticisms?

Avid "Elder Scrolls" fans hoping to learn updates of an upcoming installment to Bethesda's hit gaming franchise may be disappointed with the news. Gaming speculations pointed to a delayed "The Elder Scrolls 6" development given a potential partnership with Hideo Kojima and to avoid "Fallout 4" criticisms.

"The Elder Scrolls 6" may be one of the highly-anticipated gaming titles from game developer and publisher Bethesda. Many gamers have been clamoring for a new installment to the said gaming franchise especially after the release of a remastered version for "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim."

However, it may take Bethesda some time before the gaming company can release "The Elder Scrolls 6." Several reports have hinted of the game developer looking for the perfect engine to run the game's newest sequel.

Learning from post-launch criticisms that other gaming titles encountered such as "Fallout 4," it appears the Bethesda is looking to avoid potential feedback of "The Elder Scrolls 6" having outdated graphics. "Fallout 4" previously received negative feedback of outdated looking graphics despite the availability of modern programs or systems. Some even alleged that the said game utilized the same engine as its predecessor "Fallout 3."

Meanwhile, other gaming speculations for "The Elder Scrolls 6" also hinted of Bethesda's potential partnership with Kojima. Currently busy with development work for the upcoming game "Death Stranding," the famed video game director may potentially be tapped to provide inputs for a new "Elder Scrolls" game. However, Kojima's speculated involvement in "The Elder Scrolls 6" appears to be untrue.

Despite the various rumors surrounding "The Elder Scrolls 6," Bethesda have placed the said game's development on its least priority list. The gaming company have their hands full with two projects with a development scope as big as "Skyrim."

Bethesda executive Pete Hines told IGN in an earlier interview that the gaming company is set to complete the said two projects before they can start on a new "Elder Scrolls" development. He stated, "The studio has two major projects, two major games that they are planning on doing before they get to an Elder Scrolls 6."

The special edition "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim was released on Oct. 28 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Watch the trailer below:
