"Overwatch" fans are expected to be presented with a new holiday event from Blizzard. Apparently, the event is slated to begin in the competitive shooter. Previously, it has been revealed that new Christmas-content and holiday-oriented maps are included in the event. Blizzard reportedly revealed a Christmas card with an RSVP to players.
Previous reports reportedly revealed several findings on the "Overwatch" Holiday event. The data miner Kjasi reportedly posted his analysis in FacePunch forums. Apparently, "Overwatch" may feature new content in a series of new map files.
Aside from the additional event map, three other holiday-oriented maps are expected to roll out in "Overwatch" as well. Moreover, Blizzard "Overwatch" is also expected to introduce new voice line, a new victory pose for all of the characters as well as a new hair spray. Previously, Blizzard's Halloween update also rolled out with victory poses for each of the "Overwatch" characters.
Several "Overwatch" characters are also slated to receive Christmas-related highlight into, costume as well as emotions. "Overwatch" changes reportedly include Reinhardt, Widowmaker, Reaper, Sombra, Symmetra, Mercy and Lucio. In addition, Roadhog, 76, And and D. Va are also included. Apparently, the said characters may get either Winston, Pharah, McCree, Zarya, Mei and Zenyatta while Torbjorn reportedly gets more.
In other news, in 2017, players of "Overwatch" reportedly expect more maps and heroes from the game. It is speculated that the game will sport more diverse abilities and accessible gameplay as well as more characters and game modes as well. The Arcade mode is also expected to evolve in 2017.
"Overwatch" now has 23 playable characters including the stealth hacker Sombra and the healing sniper Ana but more characters may be added next year. New gametypes for regular players and loads of maps may be added as well. Furthermore, new heroes are expected to have the ability to shift the meta.
