The legal battle for custody of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's six kids reached a new level as the arrangement for child custody has been placed at the will of a sole person, based on a new document submitted by Jolie as reported.
As of the present time, all six children and their parents are under the terms of a temporary custody agreement, which they previously executed. The said temporary custody agreement, which affords Jolie primary custody and monitored visits for Pitt has already been reported, the new document submitted by the actress contain specific details.
Based on the document, the schedule and frequency of Pitt's visitation rights is ascertained by Ian Russ, a psychologist whose specialization involves child custody issues. "The deal says the frequency and conditions of the therapeutic visitation shall be determined by Ian Russ, Ph.D. Brad Pitt and Angie also must participate in group therapy sessions with the kids," a report from TMZ said.
Aside from custody arrangement, Pitt has also been obliged to submit to random alcohol and drug tests four times each month. This arrangement shall be in effect until amended by Pitt and Jolie or a court order has been issued.
Although the custody arrangement for the six children was signed by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie earlier in October while Pitt was still being investigated by the Los Angeles County Department of Child and Family Services for possible abuses, the same is still binding up to the present time. On Friday when Jolie submitted the agreement, the court has reportedly approved the same.
The altercation between Pitt and Jolie while onboard a private jet was the primary reason for the actress to file for divorce against Pitt. And it is one of the major in considerations the divorce proceeding. On the air craft incident, Pitt was allegedly abusive of Maddox when the latter intervened between Pitt and Jolie's argument.
