Brooklyn Nets fans, more specifically Jeremy Lin fans, wants to know when will Jeremy Lin return from his hamstring injury? The answer unfortunately is there's still no specific date on when Jeremy Lin will return to the court.
Jeremy Lin has been out since injuring his hamstring in a game on Nov. 2. The Brooklyn Nets said that Jeremy Lin would be re-evaluated after 2 weeks. Two weeks have passed and still no announcement on Jeremy Lin's return date. Now it's been more than a month since the injury and the Brooklyn Nets still have no timetable for Jeremy Lin. The latest word on Jeremy Lin's status came from Brooklyn Nets General Manager Sean Marks.
Sean Marks sat down this morning with Nets on YES analyst Sarah Kustok to answer a variety of questions regarding the Brooklyn Nets like what are the surprises and disappointments this season, the status on Jeremy Lin's injury and some questions from Brooklyn Nets season ticket holders. The sit down interview was shown live this morning on the Brooklyn Nets official Facebook page.
During the interview, Sean Marks said that Jeremy Lin is "progressing" well and that he suspects that Jeremy Lin's return will be "pretty soon". Sean Marks further added that he doesn't want to give a specific timetable on Jeremy Lin and that they don't want to rush his return.
"I said "look, just take your time, you don't need to prove them wrong by coming back too soon. So just take your time." He's so vocal, still at practice, in the locker room, and has been from day one when he was out with his injury. He's progressing well, I don't want to put a time limit on it, or a day, but I suspect it's pretty soon."
Since injuring his hamstring, Jeremy Lin has missed the last 15 games. The Brooklyn Nets are 3-12 since Jeremy Lin went out.
During the start of the season, the Brooklyn Nets showed some promise. Though their record to start the season was 2-3, Jeremy Lin did played very well. The fans were hopeful that they have something good to look forward to. But since Jeremy Lin's injury, it's all been downhill for the Brooklyn Nets. Now, their currently at 5-15 and at the bottom of the standings for the second straight season.
