The world is currently obsessed with Baby Groot, thanks to the recent release of the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" second teaser trailer. However, Vin Diesel's diminutive (and irresistibly adorable) character is not the only one who stole the spotlight in the video. Fans finally got a glimpse of Pom Klementieff as new team member Mantis.
Pom Klementieff's appearance as Mantis was reserved for the last moments of the trailer, but it also offered a hint on how she ends up working with the Guardians. Are Mantis and Kurt Russell's Ego set to help Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket, Baby Groot and Drax in their new mission in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2"?
'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2' Hints On How Star-Lord And Gang Ended Up Working With Mantis And Ego?
It's difficult to get a glimpse of the plot just from watching the trailer of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2", but one thing is for sure: the gang ends up in a room with Mantis, who quickly shows off her gift. "When I touch someone, I can feel their feelings," Pom Klementieff says before announcing that Star-Lord feels love then clarifying that it is "sexual love" for Gamora. Drax then reacts in the most perfect Drax way.
The scene certainly establishes that Mantis immediately gets friendly with the team, who are believed to be sent on a mission by Ayesha. There are speculations that Kurt Russell's Ego finally tracks down his son Star-Lord in the middle of the mission and decide to help them out early on in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2".
What Happened To Yondu And Nebula In The 'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2' Trailer?
The first look at Mantis is certainly a welcome one, since Pom Klementieff's character was notably absent from the first teaser. However, the new trailer also left out Yondu and Nebula, who were both some of the coolest parts of the original teaser. Hopefully, all three will appear in the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" full-length trailer along with Kurt Russell's Ego.
