Tom Holland's Spidey will be an improved version that mixes up both modern and ancient comic book looks. A new report has recently revealed that the actor will feature a new costume with web wings in "Spider-Man: Homecoming."
According to reports, during the Brazilian Comic Con this year, a clip for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" saw Tom Holland's Peter Parker donning a new costume that sports web wings. This is a huge step forward after Holland's Spider-Man debuted in "Captain America: Civil War."
Collider has translated the report from the Brazilian outlet. The "Spider-Man: Homecoming" teaser played during the event highlighted Spider-Man's flight after receiving a new suit that the great Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) gifted him with. "The next scene shows Spider-Man on top of a building. When he jumps, small wings similar to the drawings of Steve Ditko and John Romita appear. The 'wings' range from the waist to the middle of the arm and maintain the blend of retro and technological of the uniform seen in Captain America: Civil War," the translated account describes.
IGN says the web wings that moviegoers will see in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" mirrors the same outfit that was once presented in the comic books. The said volume titled "Amazing Fantasy #15" was also the one that first introduced Spider-Man into the Marvel Universe.
Aside from the confirmation during the Brazilian Comic Con, Marvel Digital Media vice president Ryan Penagos also took to Twitter to reveal the big news. In a thread of updates about the events going down during the big conference, Penagos did not fail to mention the "web wings." He also confirmed that a footage for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" featuring Happy and Peter talking was aired during the event.
Fans from around the world have yet to have a close look at Tom Holland's web-winged costume in "Spider-Man: Homecoming." The movie is slated for release on July 7, 2017, with Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Donald Glover, Jon Favreau, Michael Keaton, and more.
