Runkeeper has been one of the best buds for those who are into fitness. With its recently released pretty major app update, running lovers and Apple Watch Series 2 owners are going to love Runkeeper even more.
It may have been discouraging for the fans of Apple that there are no health and fitness apps that had taken advantage of the added GPS of the Apple Watch Series 2. But with the new Runkeeper update taking full advantage of the built-in GPS of Apple Watch Series 2, iPhone enthusiasts can now leave that their phone behind. They can now track exercise, set goals, sweat, and see progress, without bringing their iPhone along.
Fitness enthusiasts may choose what's on the wearable's display during their workout with Runkeeper's customizable activity screen. With the addition of active metrics, it displays live heart rate graphs that show the BPM over the last five minutes. Aside from that, it also shows target pace graph that plots out a five-minute snapshot of the run compared to a speed goal input before getting started.
With version 7.6 of the latest Runkeeper update, users will now be able to view mapped routes on their phone after going out running with the Apple Watch Series 2. The app will also alert users with a vibration during the run each time they log a mile.
As for how to connect the Runkeeper to the Apple Watch, Apple Watch has to be paired with iPhone first. Open up the Apple Watch app on your phone and head to the 'My Watch' tab. Scroll down until you see Runkeeper in the list of apps. Once you tap on the Runkeeper cell, just make sure the toggle is set to 'Show App on Apple Watch. Then check out your fancy new Runkeeper app on your Apple Watch!
The latest Runkeeper update is available to download in App Store. Stay tuned for more Runkeeper updates.
