ABC's "Scandal" Season 6 promises an explosive premiere night as the new season jumps right into Election Night. As fans wait with bated breath over the results of the 2016 US Presidential Elections, who would take over White House? Would be it Mellie Grant and Jake Ballard, or Frank Vargas and Cyrus Beene?
Speaking of Cyrus Beene, who's currently running as vice president under the Democratic Party: The actor who plays him, Jeff Perry, will be joined on set by his real-life daughter, Zoe Perry. Zoe will be having a recurring guest star role in the Shondaland political thriller, although given the utmost secrecy her character is being bequeathed right now, it certainly seems as if she would be playing a big role in "Scandal" Season 6. What could it be?
Zoe Perry to join 'Scandal' Season 6
Zoe Perry is no stranger to Shondaland, it seems, as she also has multiple roles in several Shonda Rhimes-led shows like "Grey's Anatomy," "Private Practice" and "The Family." It's also not her first time to embark on a role that includes her father on the cast billing, as she and her father already starred in a previous stage production together, according to Variety. Will she be joining "Scandal" Season 6?
TVLine reported that the cast and crew of "Scandal" Season 6 were working hard to keep her character in tight wraps, however. Spoilers regarding even so much as her name were tamped down, leading several fans to speculate that her arrival might have something to do with Cyrus Beene.
Cyrus Beene in the White House?
It was previously reported that incumbent President Fitz Grant (Tony Goldwyn) would be working together with his old flame, Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) to put a stopper to Cyrus Beene's dangerous political ambitions to become president. But with Zoe Perry on the cast, it may be possible that Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young) lost the presidency, just like her character's inspiration, Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton.
