"Justice League" may have cast Armie Hammer for the role of Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern. Hammer and "Batman" star Joe Manganiello seems to fuel this speculation on social media.
Speculations that Hammer is now among the star-studded casts of "Justice League" has been going the rounds online. The casting rumor begun after Manganiello (Deathstroke) and film producer Geoff Johns started following Hammer on Twitter. Likewise, Manganiello and Hammer have been exchanging cryptic tweets.
It is clear from their messages that the actors met up recently. What is unclear though is the purpose of their meeting. Likewise, it is a wonder why both actors would start to follow and exchange messages with each other if there is no specific reason.
This is when fans started speculating that perhaps they met up to discuss the "Justice League" movie. Perhaps Hammer has signed on to the DCEU to play as Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern. This would explain the congratulatory message Manganiello sent to the actor.
However, instead of putting these speculations to rest, Hammer only seems to fuel them. He is certainly having fun trolling those who suspects that he is involved with the "Justice League" film.
"Very large announcement coming soon...I...will..be...playing....My old guitar tonight. Found it in a closet and realized how long it's been," Hammer wrote in a series on tweets.
Regardless if Hammer plays Green Lantern or not, this would not be the first time that he has worked with Warner Bros. He appeared in "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." and worked alongside "Man of Steel" star Henry Cavill. He has also played a masked hero before in the 2013 film, "The Lone Ranger" opposite Johnny Depp. If he does play Hal Jordan, then fans should expect to see him in his superhero suit when "Justice League" opens on Nov. 17, 2017.
