According to PCMag, the latest update of Apple has garnered positive reviews however, the number of users reporting about the battery issue is increasing.
Mashable also reported Apple's support forum discussing the state of their iPhone 6 and iPhone 5s after having an iOS update 10.11. Most users shared that their phone won't make it a whole day unless charged while some users complain about their phone shutting down even if the battery's life is almost half.
To other people, this is not new anymore since the issue about the battery's life happens to other users, worldwide, despite being related to any software. For those who open to Apple's open beta program 10.2, they say that downgrading back to version 10.11 resolves the issue for the mean time. This is because this resolution is not consistent and only works on various consumers.
Downgrading Only Makes Things Worse
The strategy of going back to beta 10.1 is not a smart move because some complain states that the battery's life is not only shortened, it also turns off despite being 70 to 80 percent full. The cause is still unknown but most speculations involve it with a software upgrade or downgrade, battery damage, a clog in lightning port or overheating.
Tips to Save Batter Life
In case such issue cannot be avoided, there are simple tips that users can follow to lengthen their battery's life. One of which is to find the apps that use most of the battery by going to iPhone's main setting menu. You can also work on managing the Background App or, by simply turning down the brightness.
