Prometheus gains more ammunition against Oliver (Stephen Amell) after Artemis (Madison McLaughlin) betrays The Green Arrow by siding with Prometheus in “Arrow” Season 5 Episode 9. Prometheus was finally introduced in “Arrow” on Nov. 9, although the identity of the actor who portrays Prometheus remains a secret.
Marc Guggenheim, executive producer of the TV series, said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly clues on how long Artemis has been undercover for Prometheus would be found in “Arrow” Season 5 Episode 6, iDigitalTimes reports. He hints that at the end of the episode and in her final scenes with Oliver, between Act 5 and Act 6 of that episode, it was when Artemis decided to side with Prometheus.
First Showdown
Guggenheim added that “Arrow” Season 5 Episode 6, titled “So It Begin,” is the first showdown between Green Arrow and Prometheus. In the same episode, the new recruits, led by Artemis, found out that Oliver crossed out their names which upset them, especially Artemis whose relationship with Oliver was already rocky then.
In between seasons, Artemis forgave Oliver and she rejoined Team Arrow. However, by the end of “Arrow” Season 5 Episode 6, she had warned Wild Dog and Ragman – also recruits of the team – not to trust Oliver who she considers a serial killer.
Oliver Is A Serial Killer
She emphasized to the two Oliver’s hiding the truth from them. But Artemis nevertheless ended up battling Prometheus on a subway car although she did not hurt her, but Prometheus was about to harm the train operator when Oliver arrives in time to save the operator while Prometheus disappears in “Arrow” Season 5 Episode 6.
Artemis pretends to apologize to Oliver at the Arrowcave, but it was just a front. Spoilers for future episodes clearly spell Artemis’ loyalty to Prometheus. David Ramsey (John Diggle) noted that Oliver and Prometheus share a lot of things in common, according to TVLine. On Wednesday, Dec. 7, “Arrow” Season 5 Episode 6, the midseason finale, would air at 8 p.m. on The CW.
