Samsung Galaxy S8 was supposed to be a key product launch as the company's flagship smartphone for 2017. However, the different Note 7 battery issues have seemed to hinder the best laid plans of the Korean tech giant. Now, Samsung Galaxy S8 is believed to face a sudden challenge.
The launch of Samsung Galaxy S8 would have been a great opportunity to refine the concepts in Galaxy Note 7. Given the issues linked to Note 7 battery defect, Samsung Galaxy S8 is instead viewed as the origin of several new concepts, which puts more pressure on the Samsung Galaxy S8 team.
One of the said concepts is the iris scanner feature in Samsung Galaxy S8. The company's use of biometric security on Note 7 has included iris recognition that allows the phone to be unlocked by looking at it. In addition, the additional layer of security in Samsung Galaxy S8 with a PIN code and fingerprint recognition could have revealed a lot of interesting areas in the enterprise sector as well as those that need increased security.
That said, the PR team of Samsung Galaxy S8 is reported to be facing the challenge to discuss about two devices with just one device, Forbes reported. Meantime, while Samsung Galaxy S8 has not fully recovered yet from the entire Galaxy Note 7 issue, the company is now reported to be working hard to bring the next generation smartphone to the market in 2017.
Incidentally, rumors claim that Samsung will not include a dual-camera setup on Samsung Galaxy S8, which could mean that the smartphone will use instead the similar camera module. The leak regarding the said feature reportedly came from a Weibo leaker named Ice Universe.
Samsung Galaxy S8 leaker, however, was not able to reveal the reasons behind the company's dropping of the plans to include a dual-camera setup on the Samsung Galaxy S8, Indian Express reported. Watch Samsung Galaxy S8 Trailer 2017
