Everybody in the NBA knows that the Philadelphia 76ers center Nerlens Noel is not happy with his current situation in the team. Nerlens Noel has already stated that before. Everybody in the NBA also knows that the Philadelphia 76ers will eventually traded Nerlens Noel. The only question that remains is which team?
As it is, one reason that's preventing the Philadelphia 76ers from trading Nerlens Noel is the asking price. The Philadelphia 76ers just couldn't find the right package to make a deal work. Many observers say that the Philadelphia 76ers should've traded Nerlens Noel during the summer. During that time, Nerlens Noel's value was still considerably high and a lot of teams are interested to trade for the defensive minded center.
Instead the Philadelphia 76ers chose to wait it out during the season. As if bad luck has always been with the Philadelphia 76ers the past few years, Nerlens Noel injured his knee. Nerlens Noel would have knee surgery before the start of the season. Although the knee surgery was just a minor one, Nerlens Noel has not played a single game this season.
That decision would eventually cost the Philadelphia 76ers. Other NBA teams that were interested before are now backing out. The longer the Philadelphia 76ers wait it out, the lower the value of Nerlens Noel becomes. But not all teams are turned off by the injury. Some of them are still very much interested in making a deal like the Chicago Bulls and the Portland Trailblazers. The two teams are reportedly burning the wires for a possible trade.
The Portland Trailblazers, according to reports, is the latest team to be involved in trade discussions for Nerlens Noels. Reports say that the Portland Trailblazers are offering Allen Crabbe for Nerlens Noel. In getting Allen Crabbe, the Philadelphia 76ers would getting a do-it-all shooting guard that many observers say could be a star in the making. Allen Crabbe could be a perfect fit with Joel Embiid and and the soon to return rookie Ben Simmons. The Portland Trailblazers meanwhile would be getting the defensive presence they needed inside by acquiring Nerlens Noel. It's a win-win situation for both teams.
The Chicago Bulls have been reported before that they are willing to trade six-year veteran power forward Nikola Mirotic in a straight-up, one-on-one deal for Nerlens Noel. This deal would make sense for both teams as Nikola Mirotic would provide as a lead scorer for the Phialdelphia 76ers and could space the floor for Joel Embiid because of his outside range. Nerlens Noel on the other hand
would provide the defensive presence the Chicago Bulls sorely misses this season with the departure of Joakim Noah.
With Dec. 15 drawing near, the date where almost everybody can be traded, expect the Philadelphia 76ers to make a move around that time.
